The Giotto Premium improves on the Giotto Classic - with all of the same features plus a select set of performance and cosmetic upgrades. The Giotto was "rated the best small commercial espresso machine" by David Schomer of Cafe Vivace magazine of Seattle and Derfeinschmecker magazine of Germany and dubbed the "Rolls Royce" of filter handle espresso machines by Test magazine. Wide acclaim has made the ECM Giotto somewhat of a living legend in the semi-commerial espresso machine segment. Great as a light duty commercial espresso machine or high end prosumer home espresso maker. The Giotto has a great combination of performance features and styling for the price. With a heavy commercial brew group, large boiler, thermosyphon circulation system (heat exchanger) for simultaneous brewing and steaming plus a hot water tap that is sometimes hard to find in machines of this price.

The Giotto espresso machine boasts a professional heavy duty 9 lb coffee brewing group. This group is three times heavier than most commercial groups for better thermal stability. The copper boiler features automatic boiler water level control.
