Vacuum brewing is also one of the oldest coffee brewing methods, but this superior method had largely given way to convenience … until now! The Bodum Santos Electric Vacuum Coffee Maker blends the convenience of an automatic drip coffee maker with the full body of a stovetop vacuum brewer. Vacuum brewing heats water in a bottom chamber, creating pressure that drives the water at the perfect temperature into the top chamber where it mixes with the ground coffee. After the proper amount of time, the heat source is removed from the bottom chamber, creating a vacuum that draws the brewed coffee through a filter back into the bottom chamber. No paper filters to make the coffee dull! Just a small easy cleaned micron nylon filter for a smooth and even cleaner coffee. The flavor is similar to a French Press with less sediment.
